After the Easter break it was straight back into action and a chance to amend the defeat last time out.
However things did not look good, with the volcano stranding Kuba and Josh in Italy and Lanzarote, and Jake not feeling well we were down to 6 players, but Jake the ever professional made sure he was available and played through the pain barrier.
With Joe as our captain we started the game brightly and were soon attacking Little Eaton’s goal with some good work from Harry and Corben.
After an initial scare on our goal with Sam clearing from goal we soon took a well deserved lead, when Corben collected a clearance from the opposition on the edge of the area and chipped the ball over the goalkeeper. Jubilee maintained the pressure and with our defence of Sam, Jake and Corben clearing any danger our dominance began to show. Joe who was working tirelessly in midfield along side Harry scored our 2nd with a shot at the far post, and then Samuel ended his recent goal drought with a superb goal from the edge of the area.
After a lack of concentration straight after the break allowing Little Eaton to pull one back, the 2nd half continued to be constant pressure from Jubilee, Harry got his reward for his efforts in supporting our striker with a good goal after some great play by Joe and Jake, Samuel then scored 2 more goals one from an excellent corner by Corben and another from a great throw from Sam. To round off the scoring Corben knocked in his 2nd for the match following some good passing between Jake, Samuel and Harry.
A great result and a fantastic team effort with just 7 players, this made the decision for man of the match difficult but with his tremendous work rate and 1st goal of the season the award went to Joe.
